Construction Spending Up
The U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reported that new home sales nationally declined 2 percent from November to December and were down 7 percent on a year-over-year basis. Total construction spending, however improved during December.
Indiana Job Gains Top Ranking
In December, nonfarm payroll employment increased in 25 states and the District of Columbia. Eight states recorded statistically significant changes in employment Indiana experienced the highest gain in jobs at 15,100 new jobs. Tell City Junior-Senior High School are hosting various Veterans Day events at the school.
The day kicked off at 8 a.m. at the school’s library with memorabilia on display for viewing.
